Dynamiq Yachts
Hybrid Superyacht GTT 115
A Grand Tourismo for the Seven Seas
Monaco – even the name embodies cosmopolitan attitudes and luxury. So it’s no surprise that our designers were excited to collaborate with architects and engineers from the shipbuilding company Dynamiq to develop an extraordinary yacht design on site. It’s a little known fact, that most of these elegant ships seldom have a unified design concept; instead the design depends on the individual taste of the customer. Dynamiq recognized this market niche and commissioned Studio F. A. Porsche to design an extremely high-performance yacht for crossing the Atlantic. It was clear to us from the beginning that the design for this kind of luxury product would have to take the lead from automobile manufacturing. Not only since this is part of our DNA, but because the sports car industry is a global leader in exterior and interior design.

Right from the start, it was clear to us that the design of such a luxury product had to draw inspiration from the automotive industry. Not only because this is part of our DNA, but above all because the sports car industry is a global leader in exterior and interior design.

The result is a surface design that is unique in the yachting world: the lines, the side contours and the balanced proportions are reminiscent of the teardrop-shaped surfaces of the Porsche 911.
Even the smallest details are reminiscent of this iconic design: for instance, the sunroof frame is modelled on the sports car’s B-pillar, whilst the cleat used to moor the boat echoes its rear light. The colours Rhodium Silver and Carrera White perfectly round off the harmonious overall impression.

But automotive design also served as the inspiration for the interior: the horizontal aluminium and wood trim strips, inspired by the dashboard of the Porsche Mission E, visually connect the different areas. The colour scheme and materials are dominated by brown and cream-coloured leather, as well as Alcantara and indirect LED lighting, as is familiar from car headliners.

Discerning customers can choose from perfectly coordinated colour combinations, just as they are accustomed to with car configurators – a paradigm shift in the yachting industry, where until then there had either been only bespoke models, or the buyer had no say whatsoever in the design.

By combining performance, speed, range and sporty design, we have worked with our partner Dynamiq to create a Grand Tourismo for the seas that is unrivalled anywhere in the world.
