Spaceship for the Ocean
The Singapore-based yacht company Royal Falcon Fleet was looking for a yacht design unlike anything seen before. The company’s CEO described his vision as follows: ‘I want to build a spaceship on the water.’
From the outset, the Porsche Design Studio was given complete creative freedom with one exception: it had to be a catamaran. The guiding principle was to achieve, at a length of 135 feet, the same deck area that would be possible with a conventional single-hull yacht measuring 210 feet in length.

The exterior design was intended to embody speed and dynamism in a completely different and novel way. The two hulls create an unusual overall impression, not unlike the wide track of a sports car.
The RFF135 has four decks: the upper deck, the middle deck, the main deck and the lower hull deck. The upper sun deck features a bridge control station with the necessary navigation equipment, a helm station with seating, a jacuzzi, a bar and a sun lounge.

The main deck houses the bridge, the captain’s cabin, guest cabins, and a luxurious owner’s cabin with a private lounge and a private outdoor dining and reception area.
At the forward end of the main deck are a reception lounge, three guest cabins, a fully equipped galley, crew quarters and a spacious dining/lounge area that opens out onto the outer deck. A tender garage is situated at the aft end of the main deck.

The interior should convey a sense of functional luxury, combined with superb materials and outstanding build quality. Modern, yet timeless. Uncluttered, yet stimulating and cosy.
