Mobile Phone Sagem P´9521

In our collaboration with Sagem, we set out to fundamentally challenge and reinterpret the established aesthetics of mobile phones. The ambition was to create a new category for discerning business customers – one that deliberately broke with the conventions of the market. The design was defined by a minimalist, high-quality approach, combined with innovative manufacturing processes and a carefully considered choice of materials. The result was a mobile phone that clearly distinguished itself from the products of its time – not only through its appearance, but through the way it was conceived and constructed.

For a long time, the classic mobile phone was primarily perceived as a stylish lifestyle object, defined by playful forms and fashionable details. Its role as a technical tool designed to facilitate everyday work and reliably protect sensitive data often took a back seat.

In developing the mobile phone together with Sagem, we deliberately set out to challenge this convention. Our aim was to create a device with a clear, technical character that placed functionality, security and high-quality materials at the forefront.

A defining feature is the housing, milled from a solid block of aluminium. This manufacturing process, highly unusual for mobile phones, not only gives the device exceptional precision and robustness, but also reinforces its premium and exclusive character.

A precisely engineered aluminium double hinge allows the display to rotate by 180°, enabling the mobile phone to be used comfortably as a digital camera.

Maximum security is provided by an integrated fingerprint sensor, which reliably identifies the user and enables secure access to personal data. Individual fingerprints can also be assigned to specific phone numbers or functions, allowing for particularly intuitive and convenient operation.
