The exclusive lifestyle brand Porsche Design and Acer, one of the leading suppliers of PCs and notebooks, are entering into a partnership with the aim of bringing unique and state-of-the-art products to market.

The collaboration combines Porsche Design’s functional design philosophy with Acer’s technological innovations and in-depth expertise in the international computer industry. The first joint development is a high-quality notebook that combines advanced technologies and materials with purist and minimalist design elements.

The Porsche Design Acer Book RS features a carbon fibre A-cover with an aluminium frame and a magnesium chassis.

Optimising functionality, reducing the form to the essentials without compromise – the Porsche Design Acer Book RS perfectly embodies the Porsche Design philosophy and makes a statement in the high-end computer segment.

The 3K carbon fibre shell, machined using a CNC diamond cutter, contrasts perfectly with the device’s silver-coloured casing. This contrast lends it a striking character whilst also achieving an impressive lightness – the entire notebook weighs just 1.25 kg and is 15.99 mm thick.

The two halves are connected by a unibody hinge, which slightly raises the keyboard when the laptop is opened. This improves cooling and provides a more ergonomic typing experience.

The backlit keys allow for comfortable typing even at night, and the precision glass touchpad supports multi-touch gestures for a more intuitive multitasking experience.

The wireless Porsche Design Acer Mouse RS with Bluetooth completes the Travelpack. Carbon fibre reinforces the left mouse button, giving it a distinctive look. The underside of the mouse is also made of carbon fibre. This sturdy material ensures a long service life. The mouse also features a DPI switch, allowing you to switch quickly between three preset sensitivity levels.

The multifunctional Porsche Design Acer Travelpack RS (mouse mat, mouse, carry bag and laptop sleeve) is the perfect accessory for the Porsche Design Acer Book RS. The accessory bag is made from ECCO® PALERMO XA leather, a durable material that feels pleasant to the touch and has a subtle sheen. Magnetic fastenings connect the bag to a laptop sleeve made from 1680D polyester fabric, which is water-repellent and ideal for protecting the laptop from scratches and wear and tear that can occur with a mobile lifestyle.

A particularly clever feature is the detachable fastening on the laptop sleeve – also made from ECCO® PALERMO XA leather – which can also be used as a high-quality mouse mat.
