While men’s bags have been a well-known product category at Porsche Design for many years the first lady’s handbag was a design challenge for the Studio. The question was how to design a feminine bag that carries the DNA of the brand.

The result was an classic format with a functional twist in the handle which gave the bag its name: Twin Bag

Held in place by magnets, the handles can be short or long without compromising the design of the bag. In the meantime it has become one of Porsche Design’s best selling products.

The leather is tanned using an environmentally friendly process, whilst the inner lining is made from soft Alcantara. The metal fittings are given their elegant appearance through an elaborate electroplating process.

Following vegetable tanning, the selected leathers – exclusive ostrich leather, elegant crocodile leather and high-quality calfskin – are processed with the utmost precision and care.

The timeless metal fittings are available in six different finishes. A complex electroplating process produces finishes in gold, white gold, rose gold, matt gold, silver and chrome, which are then polished by hand.

The result is an exceptional combination of craftsmanship, high-quality materials and timeless elegance.

Thanks to the two-way zip, the TwinBag is particularly easy to open. The functionally designed interior offers ample space for A4-sized documents and a laptop up to 13 inches, thus combining stylish aesthetics with high practicality for everyday use.
